Sunday Morning

Dearest Mom,

I've been here over a week now, and from the activities poppin gll around me, it looks as if I might be shipped out of here at any time.  Via latrine I found out that guys that came in two, three or four days ahead of our bunch are receiving their shipping orders.  That shipping date can't come too soon, for I am tired of this lousy weather and awful country. I haven't the slightest idea where I shall be sent to school, and I really don't care, but perhaps A&M would be the best place.

I just received the Mart Herald, and I really do appreciate them.  I really do miss reading the papers, especially the Herald, so keep sending them every once in a while.; however, just put them in mailing envelopes and address them, for I don't know how long I shall have the same address.  I enjoyed the Heralds, of course, but I would have enjoyed much more a letter from you; I have received none from  you as yet.

Hope that you and Louie are well and that the folks in glass are O.K. Grandad, Grandmother, and Guns stated in their letters that they are all well.

Love and kisses

BEN

P.S. I am enclosing under separate cover a copy of the field newpaper.
